What is TechFest?
TechFest is a multi-day, multi-track innovation and workforce convening produced by NM Tech Talks. It brings together employers, students, founders, educators, investors, and community partners to explore career pathways, emerging technologies, and New Mexico's growing innovation economy.
Where is TechFest 2026 located?
This is a multi-track, multi-venue event. Venues will span across the Innovation District in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Specific venues TBA.
Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome! TechFest is designed for students, early-career professionals, employers, founders, investors, educators, and anyone curious about technology and innovation in New Mexico. Whether you're exploring career pathways, building a company, hiring talent, or supporting the ecosystem, there is programming for you.
What does it cost to participate?
As with this event, ALL of our events are FREE and open to the public. We do this to create an environment of inclusivity and increase awareness of the tech industry in New Mexico without creating barriers of entry.
What types of sessions are included?
Programming includes keynotes, panels, hands-on workshops, employer office hours, startup showcases, and career-focused sessions across tracks such as Software & AI, Climate & Advanced Energy, Tech Access, and New Mexico Entrepreneurship.
Is TechFest a good fit for students or early-career professionals?
Yes. Approximately one-third of NM Tech Talks participants are students or early-career professionals. TechFest is designed to provide early exposure to employers, role models, training providers, and real career pathways in high-growth sectors.

Will there be accessibility accommodations?
We will do our best to accommodate everyone. All venues will be on the first floor of the building, and nearby parking will be provided.
Where will I pick up my registration badge?
We will announce this closer to the event. There will be in-person check-in and pickup during the event at a central location.
Will this event be available online?
We have received an overwhelming response to provide a live streaming version of TechFest and our team is hard at work finding a solution. Updates TBA.
How do I get involved with TechFest?
Our programming planning is complete, however, our team does offer a custom sponsorship package for companies wanting to get involved with bespoke/pop-up events. Email hello@nmtechtalks.com with your idea and we'll see how we can support.
Can I volunteer at TechFest?
Yes! We welcome volunteers at all of our events. This gets you unlimited and backstage access to the programming. Fill out this form with interest and we can get you added to our volunteer list.
